Curriculum Overview

The Rehla Academy (TRA) offers a Student-Centered Learning, Value-based Education (VbE), Holistic and Integrative approaches in its curriculum – content, approach to teaching and learning methods. Our curriculum is an integrative, robust, and blend of the British and Nigeria curriculums with the Taribiyah framework – (an integrative and VbE method of education that has at its heart the provision of all knowledge through the lens of Islam), which is aimed at preparing and nurturing our students with the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to navigate and succeed in today's interconnected world (Global Competency). Our curriculum framework is character transformation-driven, focusing on holistic development of the child which consists of seven strands, Spiritual literacy, Moral literacy, Intellectual literacy, Physical literacy, Interpersonal literacy, and Social literacy, in the light of Quran and Sunnah.

As part of our comprehensive curriculum provision, we offer Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education along with well detailed and structured literary, numeracy and ICT education. With our Project Based Learning (PBL) in our STEM curriculum, we are able to give opportunities to students to develop problem solving, team working, collaborative learning and technical skills. Our Physical, Social & Health Education curriculum provides our students the opportunities to develop a healthy lifestyle and become young adults that are socially supportive and responsive to good causes in the world, based on core Islamic values and civil educational provisions of the Nigerian national curriculum.
